KASNEB established the KASNEB Foundation under anirrevocable Trust for the purpose of availing bursaries and loansto needy students to enable them pursue qualifications ofKASNEB.The Foundation was established on 13 September 2020.The establishment of the Foundation was approved by theNational Treasury and Planning, and it was officially launched onthe 24th July 2020.The Foundation is governed by a Board ofTrustees.

OBJECTS OF THE FOUNDATION

To hold money and assets in trust and to utilize the same for
purposes of issuing bursaries and loans to needy students toenable them to pursue the qualifications of kasneb.
To administer a loan fund in partnership with reputablelending institutions, financial institutions or any such otherauthorised body, to provide loans to needy students who wish toobtain the qualifications of KASNEB.
To invest in the community as a way of giving back to thesociety.
The Structure of KASNEBFoundation
KASNEB Foundation is a Charitable Trust registered inKenya under the Trustees (Perpetual Succession) Act with theobjective of improving access to training and education toneedy students by offering financial support in the form ofbursaries and loans for the following:
Foundation Funds
The Foundation comprises two distinct funds namely: the Loan fund and theBursary Fund.
Loan fund
KASNEB Foundation entered into partnership with HELB who will administer aloan fund under the KASNEB Foundation. The loans shall attract an annualinterest rate at a percentage as may be approved by the Board of Trusteesfrom time to time.
Bursary Fund
KASNEB Foundation established a bursary fund which will beadministered by the bursary and loans committee appointed bythe Board of Trustees. The fund will be used to assist extremelyneedy students who wish to pursue KASNEB qualifications butare unable to raise tuition fees and fees payable to kasneb asappropriate.

Applicants apply though an application portal on the HELBwebsite, or through a link on the KASNEB website that redirectthe applicants to the HELB portalApplicants will complete an online form and provide therequisite detailsThe applications will then be processed and applicants notifiedof the outcome

Applicants must meet the minimum entry requirements forcertificate, diploma and professional qualifications ofKASNEBApplicants who are orphaned, have no guardian or sponsorApplicants from a very poor backgroundApplicants must be students at a fully accredited institution
Underage Applicants
Parents/ Guardians for the students/ applicants who are belowthe age of eighteen years (18) and who have not acquirednational identity cards will be required to apply for loans onbehalf of the students/ applicants.
Qualifying Fees

Tuition fees in identified accredited institutions training incourses offered by kasneb such as public and privateuniversities, tertiary education institutions and the Kenya Schoolof Government campuses.Fees payable to kasneb including registration fees, examinationbooking fees and annual registration renewal fees.Exemption fees for kasneb students transiting from Certificate/Technician courses to Diploma courses and from Diplomacourses to Professional courses
